Transfer Shares of Stock

If you prefer to transfer shares of stock to MYR, please call (828) 586-8958 for more information. By transferring stock directly to MYR rather than selling it and donating the proceeds, you receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the shares and avoid the tax on capital gains.
We are also excited about our Endowment created in 2002, recognizing the 23 years of commitment and dedication to MYR by Elizabeth S. Chambers, Executive Director 9/10/79 - 7/15/02, which helps provide for Mountain Youth Resources. Tax deductible contributions toward the endowment may be made to Mountain Youth Resources or to The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina where the endowment is held.
